8 Stereo Station FM Tuner to Dante

The AVN-FM brings FM radio into Dante™ or AES67 networks, allowing multiple stations to be received, monitored and distributed as dedicated network audio sources. Supporting up to 32 licensed stations, it provides flexible remote configuration and resilient network connectivity.

The Sonifex AVN-FM provides a simple way to bring FM radio into a Dante™ or AES67 audio-over-IP network. Designed for professional broadcast environments, it allows multiple FM radio stations to be received, monitored and distributed across an AoIP network without the need for multiple analogue audio connections.

The AVN-FM features a single RF input and an integrated FM tuner, supporting up to 32 stations through a flexible licensing system. Each received station is presented as a dedicated Dante audio source, making it easy to route individual stations to monitoring systems, consoles, workstations or other networked audio devices.

The AVN-FM supports stereo or mono operation, with selectable 50 µs or 75 µs de-emphasis to suit different broadcast standards. A low-bandwidth mode is also available for use with noisier signals, helping to maintain intelligible audio where reception conditions are less than ideal.

Configuration and remote control are provided through the built-in web interface, Dante Controller and Ember+, allowing station frequencies, operating modes, network settings, licensing and system configuration to be managed remotely. A real-time RF spectrum display is also provided through the web interface, helping with antenna positioning and identifying interference or signal issues.

The AVN-FM features dual EtherCON network connections with network and PoE redundancy, providing a resilient connection to the AoIP network. Audio is delivered at a fixed 48 kHz sampling rate, with firmware updates and configuration management also available remotely.
